With 13 major categories featuring at least 5 nominees each, ranging from Education and Awareness to Podcast of the Year, these content creators had the opportunity to see their work truly appreciated, while celebrating the projects and initiatives of their peers.
Results that speak for themselves
It was with ambition and passion that Jean-Michel Lépine and Maude Belval, co-founders of Wavency, joined the event's production team. Alongside Laurence LH, Antho Tran and Vincent Paquette, the start of this adventure proved to be incredibly stimulating, and their efforts were well-received by the event's attendees.
We really wanted to put the spotlight on content creators, who sometimes (and unfortunately!) get a bad rap in Quebec. If you only knew the number of incredible creators we have, in Quebec alone! Their hard work deserves to be celebrated, and the InfluenceCréation gala served to give back to them for all the effort they put into their digital content, says Maude Belval.
Before and after the gala, more than 91,000 public votes were cast, 5.5 million visits were recorded across the event's various platforms, 83,000 views were logged for the live-streamed evening, and over 300 content creators were in attendance. InfluenceCréation has definitely made its mark.
Producing a gala: a major challenge
Leading up to the big day on February 9, the producers of the InfluenceCréation gala poured their hearts and souls into organizing an event of this scale. From logistics and branding to securing partnerships, everyone gave their all to build this project from the ground up—a project that seemed impossible, but was a dream come true. After more than 6 months of intense work, the production team was supported by 80 volunteers during the event and 30 partner companies to make the evening unforgettable.
"Working for Wavency and the gala at the same time was definitely a real challenge. But honestly, we didn't see the time go by because we were all just as passionate as each other. We dreamed big and pushed ourselves to always go further for the content creators and the public. We were well supported by volunteers who were just as committed as we were. We had solid, engaging partnerships. Seriously, we couldn't have dreamed of a better first edition," explains Jean-Michel Lépine.
The second edition of the InfluenceCréation gala will be even grander and more spectacular than the first, especially given the enthusiasm the event has generated among content creators, Quebec businesses, and the general public.
