A Climate Plan is a strategic process that allows regional county municipalities (RCMs) to identify the current and future impacts of climate change on their territory and plan the actions needed to adapt and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In a context where public communications must compete with a massive amount of digital content, the project's goal was clear: make the subject accessible, concrete, and engaging for the region's citizens.
To achieve this, Wavency deployed a multichannel communication strategy aimed at simplifying climate issues and the Climate Plan, while encouraging citizen participation.

A strategy tailored to the RCM's realities From the start of the mandate, Wavency’s approach was rooted in a desire to bring digital strategy closer to local realities. In a region where nearly 98% of the territory is agricultural, communication efforts were designed to be human and accessible rather than strictly institutional. For the strategy to have a real impact, it had to live in the public sphere and become a conversation accessible to everyone. This reflection guided all the actions implemented throughout the mandate.
Video clips and print tools to inform and mobilize Among the initiatives deployed, Wavency orchestrated and produced, in collaboration with the Jardins-de-Napierville RCM, several informative and engaging video clips aimed at raising public awareness and promoting the citizen consultations organized by the RCM. Designed for social media, the clips adopted a simple and dynamic tone while highlighting key local figures, such as RCM members, farmers, and others, to reach a diverse audience across the territory. Furthermore, to ensure broader dissemination of information, Wavency handled the writing and design of newsletters distributed to the territory's 33,000 residents.
These newsletters provided an overview of the various topics covered in the Climate Plan, in addition to inviting citizens to the consultations organized by the RCM. A digital campaign to maximize reach In parallel, Wavency orchestrated a digital advertising campaign to increase the reach of communications and maximize citizen participation. This strategy included distributing promotional content on social media, adapting messages for different platforms, and optimizing campaigns to effectively reach the various demographics in the territory.

Public communications in constant transformation For Wavency, this mandate perfectly illustrates the evolution of public and regional communications.
Today, informing is no longer enough. Organizations must succeed in creating engagement, simplifying complex subjects, and adapting their content to new digital consumption habits.
