The client
Cliniques Médicales Lacroix is one of the largest networks of private medical clinics in Quebec. Their mission: to provide fast access to quality care, without the wait times of the public system. In private healthcare, patient acquisition depends largely on being visible online at the right moment.
The mandate
Before we stepped in, the campaigns were running out of steam: Meta cost per click varied widely from region to region, the account structure was fragmented with each clinic operating in a silo, and Google campaigns were optimized for clicks rather than booked appointments. We rolled out a two-part approach. On Meta: we dropped the clinic-by-clinic structure in favour of one consolidated campaign, fully refreshed the creative and reconfigured the objectives. On Google: we pivoted from clicks to conversions, focused the budget on high-intent searches and kept optimizing month after month, guided by the data.
The challenge
Campaigns running out of steam: accounts siloed by clinic, highly variable Meta CPC and Google campaigns optimized for clicks rather than booked appointments.
What we did
The impact was almost immediate, and it has held over time. Google cost per conversion dropped from $13.68 to $9.38 in one month, a 31% improvement, and held at $9.52 the following month. On Meta, cost per click went from a range of $0.56 to $1.50 down to an average of $0.22. The bottom line: $11,704 saved in a single month on Google Ads, for the same number of appointments and contacts. Because the optimizations are structural rather than one-off, the savings repeat every month.
